Online Business Opportunities with Network Marketing-MLM
Times have literally changed so much! I mean, just look at all of the crazy technology there is now, it’s amazing how by one click we can order food and we can be at our home or wherever, and all you need is WIFI and a smart device; iPhone, computers, iPads, etc you name it!
How does making money from home, or literally anywhere sound to you? For me it was like “WHAAAAAT?! can you really do that?”
Well, YES. Network Marketing/Multi-Level-Marketing(MLM) offers several opportunities that will allow you to be your own boss, and have that time & financial FREEDOM everyone wants. What does this mean? It only means you no longer have to keep going to that one job you hate, and that you will now have your own online business, start to live the life of your dreams, be your own boss, & have that new lifestyle that you’ve been wanting for a long time, oh, and a paycheck.
NOW HOLD UP! Before you QUIT your job, be aware that MLM’s have been known as pyramid schemes, scams… and what not, I myself was afraid when I was introduced to an MLM opportunity, but DON’T be ALARMED though, I will explain some important things that could help you decide to say YES or NO to an MLM company, and wether this online business opportunity is actually LEGIT, and not a scam. Let me share with you 5 simple things I did, that you can also do before joining an MLM company.
(p.s. If these 5 things help you decide great! If not, I am sorry. I am only sharing what I did before saying yes to MLM, and what helped me decide to say yes or no to an MLM company. I am not a professional, nor am I saying that these things will 100% help you decide, because in the end, it will be up to you to decide. I am simply sharing my experiences as an entrepreneur, and what you may want to do before you say yes to an MLM company.)
1. Do your own Research
It is time for you to become a DETECTIVE.
Usually you find out about an MLM company through a family member, friend, neighbor, ads, etc; and they will probably make this HUGE OPPORTUNITY sound like a DREAM; “Luxuries, fast and easy money, time/financial freedom, in less than a few months your life will change, become a millionaire!!!” Now, as good as it may sound, and as much as you admire/love this person or company culture etc; DO NOT BE AFRAID TO DO YOUR OWN RESEARCH.
It is recommended for you to do so. You wouldn’t like to get scammed would you?
Look for reviews, find out about the company; how old is the company, how many active members are there in the company, who is the CEO of the company, is it an international company or not, is there a real product if so, does it have good reviews?, are people really getting paid, does it offer everything or something that you’re interested in obtaining or achieving. Those are just some examples of what you may want to research.
IMPORTANT: NEVER ever let someone pressure you into saying YES, before you’ve had your own time to do your OWN research on the company.
p.s. it is stated that you should succeed (earn more than 4 figures) within 2-5 years in an MLM company
2. Check the Compensation Plan
Every MLM company has their own compensation plan, but if you bump into an MLM that does NOT show you their compensation plan, or maybe does not even have one… then it might be possible that it could be a huge SCAM.
Make sure to check the compensation plan before saying yes to an MLM opportunity, study it throughly, and be sure that the compensation plan fits into what you’re interested in obtaining and achieving with that certain (company) business opportunity.
p.s. normally all of the companies explain their compensation plans, but if you don’t understand the compensation plan after doing your own research, get back to the person who shared the information with you and ask them to explain it, or look for a member in the company. In the end it will be up to you to decide if you like or dislike the compensation plan.
3. Find out about the Product
All of the Network Marketing companies carry a product like, beauty products, online softwares, health & fitness products, etc;
If you notice the company does not carry a product, SCAM.
Before joining an MLM company, make sure you’re aware of the product it has. Do your own research on it, and ask yourself “Do I like the products, do I love them?”
DO NOT JOIN AN MLM COMPANY IF YOU DO NOT LIKE or LOVE THE PRODUCT. Here’s why:
Many people join an MLM company because of the products, or company culture+opportunity it offers. And you will ENJOY an MLM company a lot more if you like/love the product. If you don’t care about the product, it’d be best to keep searching for an MLM that may have a product you’ll like/love. In my experience, people who LOVE their product seem to have more fun and success with their business.
Many people stress, & struggle with their MLM businesses because of the product. Be sure to love the products the company has to offer, so you can truly succeed and have fun while building your business that could allow you to build & live the life of your dreams.
4. Business Marketing Trainings within the MLM Company
You may be new to MLM (or not), but something very important to look out for is the type of trainings the MLM company has to offer. ( I was NEW to MLM when I decided to join, but I did my research, and guess what, my company had tons of free and constantly updated trainings.)
Most MLM companies offer free trainings once you join, others charge for training, or certain of the top leaders in the company may offer you their own trainings for free, but some of these top leaders usually have their own training courses outside of their MLM business, which means they will probably charge you for them.
Good MLM companies will share the type of trainings they offer, now at days everyone in MLM has an online back office where you can find trainings that can help you learn about the business. You get an online back office after joining the MLM company, but my point here is before you say YES to an MLM company, ask around about the trainings it has to offer, especially if you are NEW to network marketing.
5. Learn about your Sponsor
The person who introduced you to the MLM company you’re excited or curious about, wether it was your friend, neighbor, family member, etc; will become your sponsor/leader only if you decide to say YES to the MLM opportunity.
Remember when I mentioned “IT IS TIME FOR YOU TO BECOME A DETECTIVE”
I legit meant it, though not in a creep/stalker way…
When it comes to MLM companies you have to be aware that sadly, there are people out there who like to SCAM instead of HELPING people. Therefore, before you say YES to an MLM opportunity, make sure to find out about the person who reached out to you, and even of the person who sponsored them into that MLM company. – Ask around if they’re truly good leaders, if they’ve helped people … or if they just sponsor people and then disappear on them etc;
In order to make an MLM online business work, you’ll need to have a certain support of some kind, someone you can reach out to when you might feel lost or confused about your business.
Once you do your own research on the one person who will become your sponsor, and you’ve discovered that they are TRUE LEADERS who HELP instead of scamming others… good. Just remember in the end of it all it is UP TO YOU to DECIDE. MLM’s are all about teamwork, building together to succeed, and if your sponsor is not a team player, you might want to look for someone else who is and who’ll be there to support & help you.
